It’s fair to say that we love dogs and they seem to love Herons Lake Retreat! It’s perfect for many a great walk in and around the local area and beyond. You can filter our lodges by Pet Friendly to find those that are all equipped for your precious pooch.
There’s so much to do in the area that is dog friendly to do as well from places to eat, things to see and places to go. Here are a few of our faves…

We love this restaurant and pub (and so does our dog). As well as a dedicated inside area for dogs, it also has an outside heated area which is under cover and dog friendly too!
Much of Snowdonia is geared up for dogs from cafes, restaurants and shops – your dog will get a better welcome than any human!
You will love a walk around the dog-friendly Bodnant Gardens. With so many pathways you’ll easily spend a few hours here exploring the 80 acres of formal gardens, wild meadows and woods. You are asked to keep your pup on a short, not extendable lead.
Dogs are welcome on special dog days – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays – from April to the end of September and every day in autumn and winter (October to the end of March.)

A pooch paradise, and a cracking breakfast, lunch, and tea for mum & dad too.
