Spring is a wonderful time to explore North Wales. The landscapes are in full bloom, offering stunning views and vibrant outdoor experiences. There’s a perfect mix of outdoor activities and indoor retreats to enjoy. Here is a list of events and activities happening in the area. It’s not exhaustive, but we hope it helps you find something that interests you.
A short drive away, Chester is all Roman walls, independent shops and very good excuses for lunch. Keep an eye out for seasonal food festivals, open-air markets and theatre nights, plus race days at Chester Racecourse, which bring a lively buzz to the city.
Victorian promenades, sea air and proper fish and chips. Llandudno often hosts seasonal events, theatre performances and seaside shows, while nearby towns offer art fairs, food weekends and local makers’ markets as the months roll on.
For something wilder, Eryri National Park delivers year-round drama. Guided walks, outdoor events and cultural festivals pop up through spring and summer, celebrating landscape, language and legend. Even without an event, it’s a show-stopper.
Smaller towns and villages across Flintshire, Denbighshire and the Clwydian Range host craft fairs, food events and community festivals as the seasons shift. They’re low-key, friendly, and very Welsh. Ask us when you arrive, we usually know what’s worth your time.
